"Do I think Labour delivered fairness? No. Do I think the Labour Party, in its heart, has a faith in civil liberties? No. They are clutching at straws."

So says Nick Clegg this morning.
If Brown thinks his party has anything to contribute to progressive politics in this country you only have to look at their regressive approach to civil liberties, their regressive tax policies when the poorest 20% now pay proportionately more tax from their income than the richest 20%, and their failure to deliver on electoral and Westminster reform some of which promises are thirteen years old and getting repeated.
If you want a referendum on new politics, you've should only consider voting Liberal Democrat, not what Labour and Brown are offering.
